Lego Day was awesome! I'm not sure who was more excited, the children or Mrs. King and Mrs. Doyle. A special thank you to Mrs. Fader who sent in some cheese and crackers that looked like Lego pieces.
We graphed Legos.
We painted with Legos.
We sorted with Legos.
We built with candy Legos.
Some of our friends chose to build a Lego structure at home.
Mrs. Diemer has been talking a lot about wind in our classroom for science. The children made some wind instruments to test the direction that the wind was blowing. We finally had a windy day and the students had fun testing these instruments., inquiring why the instruments were blowing in a certain direction.
The kids were so excited when they arrived at school to find snow on the ground. As I was on yard duty in the morning, I turned around to see Matthew making a beautiful snow angel on the sidewalk. We decided that this was a great opportunity to stay outside for a bit longer and allow the children to explore the wintery white stuff on the ground.
Joseph is ice skating!
Nash found some broken ice under the snow.
"Look, I am catching snowflakes on my tongue!" exclaimed Matthew.
