I had the opportunity to sit with Keltin and Matthew while they explored the farm-scape. TP: This is very interesting. What have you done? KM: We have placed all the horses together and all the pigs together. TP: Where are they going? KM: They are going on a boat and they have to walk a long way! TP: Where are they going? KM: They are going to another country.
We brought in some tulips for the students to create a floral portrait using tempra paints and small paint brushes. We have some very artistic artists in our class. They did a beautiful job!
We placed some dinosaurs at the play dough centre and all of our students loved playing with them. So we decided to continue with this interest and read a number of fiction and non-fiction books about dinosaurs. We added dinosaurs to our carpet toys and the students had fun playing with them, using the big blocks to create homes for them.
We created a dino-scape which the boys loved playing with.
We made dinosaur bone letters using noodles and coffee grains.
We made fossil dough.
The students then used dinosaurs, dinosaur bones and shells to create their very own fossils.
